| RUMBLE: Thank you for taking
the time to do this interview, how have you been?
Christy: I have been absolutely fantastic, thank you!
RUMBLE: What’s it like working for TNA?
Christy: I love TNA! I’ve loved TNA since the day that I’ve been
a part of it. It’s always a true testament to things when I stay
around. Because when I’m not happy, I will leave something. So
I’m very happy here.
RUMBLE: You’ve appeared in many magazines,
what’s it like seeing yourself in a magazine?
Christy: It’s unreal. It never feels like it’s really me, it feels
like this job or something that I did, but it doesn’t feel like
it’s actually me.
RUMBLE: So how did you get into pro-wrestling?
Christy: I inquired about professional wrestling when I was 18.
I got turned down at the time because I was too small. Then the
Diva Search for WWE came along and I was like “Yes! My way in!”.
So I entered the contest and got rejected online! I found an agent
that was able to get me in for an audition. I went to wrestling
school right away and after being at WWE for 2 years I left and
came to TNA and I haven’t looked back!
RUMBLE: What were you doing prior to your
pro-wrestling career?
Christy: I was a professional dancer. I used to tour with a dance
team called Purrfect Angelz. We would open up for bands at bike
rallies with our rock/burlesque inspired choreography. I was on
the “Juggy Dance Squad” on The Man Show. I also did a lot of modeling
and stuff like that in LA.
RUMBLE: You’ve appeared in both the WWE
and TNA, how do the companies differ?
Christy: Well I only stayed at WWE for almost 2 years and I’ve
been at TNA for 5. I’m definitely a lot happier here. I love how
fan friendly TNA is. With me that’s a big, giant plus! My favourite
part about anything that I do is always the fans, because they’re
the reason why I’m able to continue doing what I do. I also love
the product at TNA. I think that there’s a lot more heart, soul
and passion put into what we do as well as the family it creates.
RUMBLE: As a fan, what is one pro-wrestling
fight you’d love to see?
Christy: I actually loved the feud we just had between Mickie
James and Tara. They’re 2 of my favourite female wrestlers. They
make a great storyline and it’s a great feud!
RUMBLE: What’s a typical day for you on
the job when you wake up?
Christy: When I’m at TNA I usually come in early because I’ve
been doing all the backstage interviewing and stuff like that.
When I get up I go to the gym and eat breakfast. Then I get to
the studio earlier than anyone else and I get my hair and makeup
done. After that I go find out what I need to do. I pretty much
stay busy until showtime. If I’m doing stuff during the show then
I’m doing stuff during the show. Otherwise, I’ll sit and enjoy
the product!
RUMBLE: How does it feel to have so many
men desire you?
Christy: I think it’s interesting because I don’t have a man’s
brain. So to me I’m like “oh that’s so cute!”. I know there are
things going on in there I don’t want to know, so I choose to
be a bit oblivious!
RUMBLE: If you could take on any female
celebrity in a pro-wrestling match, who would it be?
Christy: Carmen Electra, because she’s hot! But that’s it!
RUMBLE: What do you enjoy most about pro-wrestling
and the job you do?
Christy: The fans. That just really is my number 1. When I go
into Fan Interaction or any other appearance, it’s almost stupid
that I still get teary eyed over it after all these years! They
melt my heart, especially the kids! Their excitement! I was at
the gym the other day and one of the kids in the play room was
freaking out because he saw me walk past. So I went in and he
asked me a million questions and I just sat and answered them
all. I just think that at the end of the day, they’re the reason
I get to do what I love. However, giving them something special
and giving them a piece of my job, it takes what I do and just
multiplies it.
RUMBLE: Did you ever think you would reach
this kind of status in the pro-wrestling world?
Christy: No! I mean, you only have hopes. When I went into the
Diva Search I had a gut feeling that I was meant to be there and
I still feel like I’m meant to be here. However, I don’t think
of myself as having a place in this business. I always strive
for more and hope and love it.
RUMBLE: Describe yourself in one sentence?
Christy: Happy. I can do it in one word! (smiles).
RUMBLE: So what do you do in your free
time?
Christy: In my free time I spend time with the people I love the
most: my friends, my family, my husband! I’m very passionate about
my band, so I spend a lot of time doing those shows. Writing music,
making clothes. Really, creative anything! I’m constantly drawing,
constantly writing, constantly creating. If I’m not creating I
feel like I’m not alive.
RUMBLE: What are your turn ons?
Christy: I like a confident man. I wouldn’t pinpoint turn ons
as how he looks because it’s more of an energy for me. If he is
solid in who he is and loves this world and is passionate and
excited, that is very attractive to me. I love being around men
who know what they want and won’t stomp on people to get it, however,
they’re determined and they’re leaders.
RUMBLE: What are your turn offs?
Christy: Guys that are not driven or are insecure. I think everyone
carries insecurity with them, I’m not talking about it in that
way. I mean like being a naysayer and being negative. They don’t
believe in life or excitement.
RUMBLE: What would you wear to seduce a
man?
Christy: Nothing!
RUMBLE: What’s the perfect date if someone
was to take you out?
Christy: My favourite date is Sunday Funday! My husband and I
do this date every Sunday! I’m going to sound so nerdy! We go
to church in the morning and have breakfast together. Then we
go and do yogalates. After that we go do a fun and exciting activity,
like canoeing or something. Then we make dinner and watch a movie.
We just laugh and talk and stay at home. I’m a time person. So
with anybody I love quality time and I love to just enjoy life!
RUMBLE: If a guy had 5 minutes to get your
attention, what should he do?
Christy: Not try to do anything! Just say hello and connect to
me! Not in the way of asking me some weird question but just being
real.
RUMBLE: What do you have a weakness for?
Christy: Sweets! Food!
RUMBLE: What 3 things can’t you live without?
Christy: People, music and creativity.
RUMBLE: You have so many hot body features,
what do you think is your sexiest feature?
Christy: I think my sexiest feature is my butt. I know it’s probably
the go to answer, but that’s really what I think!
RUMBLE: If you weren’t in pro-wrestling
what would you be doing?
Christy: Music. I love the combo though. For me it’s the perfect
combo. Right now I have the best of both worlds!
RUMBLE: Who would you like to be for a
day and why?
Christy: I would like to be a bird for a day, because I really
want to fly!
RUMBLE: What can fans expect to see from
Christy Hemme in the future?
Christy: Still being at TNA and doing even more with TNA. Touring
with my band. Having kids in the future, the FAR future!
RUMBLE: Where can fans see more of you?
Christy: They can follow me on Twitter @hemmepowered!
